Buying a Home
As a homebuyer, you are looking for your next place to land.
When you hire me as your agent, I’m here to help not just cushion–but stick–the landing!
As your agent, I guide you through the process from start to finish. We start with a meeting, which functions as an interview for both of us to see if we are the right fit to work together. I ask lots of questions in this initial meeting! What are your goals? What are your dreams for your new space? What elements in the home are musts vs bonuses?
Back in the day when I bought my first home(s), I had no access to listings. The agent would pick up the book of listings, and then sift through to see which ones fit my criteria. Today, 90+ percent of people are searching for homes online, and they have access to most (but not all!) of the listings we do. So where do I come in? Well a large part of my job is education. Educating my buyers about the market, the buying process, the negotiation, what to expect, and how to have a smooth, low-stress, experience. Whether it’s your first time or your 10th, I stay up to date on market conditions, negotiation tactics, and maintain great communication and relationships with the other agents in town to make sure you have the best chance of getting your offer accepted and finding your dream home.
The Consultation.
It starts with a consultation. We will meet in person or online, and talk about what it would look like to work together. We discuss the homebuying process, the steps involved, and answer any questions you have.
We will analyze your needs, your wants, and what is most important to you. We want to really get to know who you are and how best to serve you in the homebuying process.
What about financing?
Loans are a product, and every lender sells different loan “products”. We have an extensive list of lenders, and will match you with those we feel like offer products that may work well for you. We encourage you to speak to multiple lenders and compare loan products before you start house-hunting.
